Finally being discharged from the hospital and returning home is comforting. However, this is also a critical turning point in your recovery since you may find yourself struggling with simple daily activities.

Behaviour Support

People living with disability can confront family and friends with unpredictable, complex behaviours which may put their own safety in jeopardy or damage the quality of relationships. These feelings of tension are normal – but it’s also essential to provide a safe environment where the individual is equipped with positive strategies that ensure their safety, well-being and development.

Everyone has the right to personal expression and independent living, but some people may require additional support to make that a reality. Our behaviour supports provide an empowering solution for both those with challenging behaviours and their families or carers—enabling positive changes while reducing reliance on restrictive practices.

As a registered provider of NDIS services, Koala Home Care provides behaviour support for people of all ages. We work with loved ones, families and other providers to find positive solutions for challenging behaviour.

Complex Care

Complex care enables individuals with unique needs to lead a life of enhanced quality, opportunity and inclusion despite disabilities or complex chronic illnesses. Services include assisting in bed transfers, daily routines like toileting and showering as well as specialized support for conditions such as tracheostomy management or diabetes control.

Navigating the world of complex care providers can be intimidating, especially if you’re new to getting support. Government-funded programs like NDIS exist to help connect you with a network of professionals and specialists that can provide tailored assistance so your independence and quality of life are improved.
